Art During the Great Power Outage

Michigan was hit hard with crazy winds up near the 66 m.p.h. mark! We were one of the lucky 800,000 to be without power. Our luck stretched even farther to be in the last 1% to be restored. That made our outage 6 1/2 days long! It was a week of character building to be sure. Though I couldn’t record videos or run my machines, I could still draw.

IMG_20170316_101546_811I even drew people standing next to books. 🙂

IMG_20170320_113354_637I also drew birds. They were a reminder that life can exist without electricity. I am thankful it is back on, but I still flinch a little inside when I hear the wind blowing hard.
