I finally published my second short story installation in my A Short Tale for a Stormy Night Series! I'm not sure why my first one took two weeks and this one took two years, but so it is. That, my friends, is the artistic temperament. I would love it if you read it and reviewed it. It's always (well, mostly) good to know what people think of it. It Happened in the Woods takes place in the 1930s on Mackinac Island, which is one of my favorite American spots! http:// ... View the Post
Never Give Up
It's often tempting to throw in the towel when times get tough, but we should never give up. That was the entry for my latest art journal page. As I evaluate last year's business there were successes and not-so-much-successes. :) I am trying to look at what worked and what didn't so I can move forward in 2017 a bit stronger. We can't be afraid to say when something didn't work and learn from it. After all, I've gained experience and that is always valuable. Yay for a new year! ... View the Post
Drawing People!
My latest challenge to myself is to draw faces. I feel like it's something that seemed impossible to me in the past, and I like to do seeming impossible things. Happy New Year!
This is a time often associated with hope, change and resolution. I personally had a great 2016, and am in some ways, sad to see it go. Even so, I love the feeling of anticipation a new year brings. For my personal and business goals, I feel hopeful and full of ideas. I love to learn and am curious about many things. That curiosity breeds creativity. Sometimes there are so many ideas at once in my head, I have a hard time sorting which to tackle first. My YouTube channel is fun, my novels are ... View the Post
Wrapping Up Christmas Crafts
As Christmas crafting draws to a close, it comes with mixed feelings. Christmas is a great time to make things for people to show you are thinking of them. At the same time, I have been making Christmas-related art in some form for a few months now as a part of my business; consequently, I'm a little ready to move on to the new year. Are you making things for your friends and family? The ability to create gives pleasure to both the creator and the recipient. Here are some things I've been ... View the Post
