Bottled inks are an amazing medium to use in your artwork. They move like watercolors, but have a staining element that makes them perfect for layering (you may end up with inky fingers, though). This post is full of pictures in my art journals of various little paintings. I often take these and use them in surface pattern design for papercrafting and fabric! The rich, bold color of bottled inks give life to the most simple flower. Some inks have shimmery goodness as well!
