Drawing Little Things

I am often inspired by the quaint, old-fashioned things featured in Daphne’s Diary. I love history and lovely things that made a home beautiful. I thought I would draw something other than people and flowers. 🙂 I drew the dresser with a Micron pen, then added colored pencil and Derwent Inktense pencils, activated with water. It was a fun little exercise, and I created a seamless pattern that can be used for fabric or paper.

Sometimes, we have to go out of our comfort zone! That is how we grow as an artist. It also can break us out of a creative rut. Grab your art journal and create something today! 🙂
