Heat Embossing & Colored Pencils on Black Paper

Drama alert! 🙂 If you want some luxury-looking cards, try out this technique! I used Arteza black drawing paper (or use cardstock), Ranger Ink embossing powder (it’s my favorite), and colored pencils. It’s easy and delivers impactful results.

  • Arteza black paper
  • Colored pencils
  • Embossing powder

Colored pencils were my first art supply love when I was young. They are so versatile! Don’t be afraid to layer multiple colors for shading!

Here is another easy way to use your embossing powders! Use clear embossing ink through a stencil, sprinkle with the powder, then heat-set. I love that the edges of the stenciled pattern are grungy.
