Inktense Pencils on Large Tea Bags

These muslin reusable tea bags are a fun canvas for painting. You can use these in junk journaling and tucking in small gifts for birthdays and holidays. They are 4 x 6 inches, making them a great size for many things. Since they are fabric, you need to use art supplies that will stay put. 🙂 I chose to use Inktense pencils. Once activated and dry, they are permanent. Of course, you can use other Inktense products like the blocks, but you can paint with acrylic or gouache as well!

In this first example, I created a freehand drawing with the Inktense pencils. In the second example, I stamped a butterfly and script with archival ink, then colored with the pencils.

After activating the Inktense pencils with water, they really become bold and beautiful! I have several videos on my YouTube channel using Inktense pencils.
