I love the countryside, so painting a fun field with a house was the subject of this landscape painting. I rotate my sets of oil pastels, but today’s supplies were mostly Mungyo Gallery oil pastels on Canson Graduate toned paper. Mungyo oil pastels were my first set of oil pastels. They are responsible for making the experience wonderful. Now, over a hundred paintings later, they continue to sit on my studio desk, always ready for action. They have a great balance between creaminess and firmness. They are also pretty affordable!
I often use colored pencils and a charcoal pencils for the initial sketch and final details. Grab you supplies, check out the video at the bottom of the post, and try it out. š

I love color and texture. If you do too, then try oil pastels!
