Lilies with Soho Oil Pastels

Creamy Soho oil pastels are wonderful to use. I especially love to use them in botanical paintings, as their creamy texture is easy to blend. I sometimes leave little “chunks” for added texture of flower petals. The range of color is nice, and they work well with my other favorites!

There is a YouTube short at the bottom of the post. I used Canson Graduate toned cream paper, taping the edges off with washi for a nice clean finish. Soho does make an oil pastel pad that I have used a few times on my blog and YouTube channel.
