Metallic Shimmer Watercolor Centaur & Video

I love black watercolor paper! The dramatic, black backdrop for metallic watercolors is perfect for my mythological centaur. 🙂 Check out the video below for the tutorial!

Mr. Centaur is walking in the wildflowers! I used Artsy metallic watercolors, which I think is a great choice comparable to the Paul Rubens set, but at a better price. If you always paint in shimmery goodness, then the Paul Ruben palette may be a great investment, but I usually use them as a highlight on my paintings. This time, Mr. Centaur and the flowers is done entirely with the Artsy set. I think this was the first time that I only used one product on an original art piece! The black watercolor paper is by Stonehenge.
