I have often said that you can take these quick art journal studies and turn them into design motifs for surface pattern design. This bird is on fabric and wallpaper at Spoonflower! I used mostly Artecho oil pastels and the lovely silver from Sennelier in my Strathmore toned tan art journal. You know that I love this paper!
This bird is a bit wonky in its proportions, but I like the quirkiness that it gives to the seamless pattern. I have a video at the bottom of the post. The blue and green are calming. Do you love working with oil pastels?
