Cuisbm is not an art style that I usually am inspired by, but it seemed like a fun challenge to paint a castle in a “light Cubism” style. I mostly used Artecho oil pastels along with some Paul Rubens oil pastels on a pad of Canson Graduate XL paper in a creamy color. I taped the sides with washi for a clen edge finish. Cubism came alive in the early 20th century. You might know a man named Pablo Picasso. His art is not my thing, but the Cubism style incorporates geometry, which I do enjoy! My painting is an extremely mild form of Cubism, so much so that it can hardly be called that, but the inspiration was from that style.
