I did a bit of a mini series of paintings that include florals in a vase. This is the first of three. I love the classic blue and yellow. It is very cheery! I used oil pastels on Strathmore toned paper. I used washi tape to give crisp edges. Peeling that washi off at the end is weirdly satisfying. š I have a video at the bottom of the post, so be sure to check it out! I have over 1,500 videos on my channel! Oil Pastels and colored pencils work so well together. I’ve used my Prismacolor colored pencils to help with the small details.
I decided to add a background to set off the cheerful yellow, blue and white.
