Topiary trees are such a great way to add the beauty of nature in an ornamental way. The English do gardens best, I think, with the lovely shapes and clean edges, mazes, and more! Since I can’t grow things very well, I paint. 🙂 There is a short video below!
I’m using my toned tan journal with colored pencils for sketching. Oil pastels give a lush creamy, blended look. Artecho oil pastels are a recent favorite, but Mungyo is also a great choice. If you want to splurge, Sennelier is the way to go!
