I love Blick! It’s an amazing place to get art supplies. But… For some reason I am not clicking with their oil pastels. I feel they are very student grade and just aren’t my preference. You may love them, though! I started the floral painting with the Blick oil pastels on Strathmore toned tan paper, but soon after switched my Mungyo Gallery and Paul Rubens oil pastels. The creaminess was instantly different. The good news is that the Blick oil pastels are cheap enough to try without any risk.
I finished off the floral painting with my FAVORITE Sennelier gold oil pastel. So shiny in person! VIDEO BELOW!
