Oil Pastel Hobbit Treehouse Painting & VIDEO

I LOVE the Lord of the Rings books and The Hobbit! When I was thinking of painting a treehouse in my Strathmore toned paper art journal, I got the idea to make it hobbitcore. 🙂 I used my Prismacolor colored pencils and oil pastels . They work really well together. I have a video at the bottom of the post.

In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort. J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit, or There and Back Again

Here are some well-loved art supplies!

Strathmore also makes toned paper in gray and blue, but the tan is definitely my favorite! VIDEO BELOW!
