I am often in the mood to paint birds, as they come in so many delicate shapes and colors. Oil pastels are the perfect medium to mimic textural feathers. I made the background creamy and smooth, and used my Derwent Inktense pencils for some details. I don’t have a video of this one, but I have tons of paintings on my YouTube channel! 🙂
I love using Strathmore toned tan paper. This painting is a wee one because I had a smaller square shape leftover from another project.
