I loved reading The Secret Garden when I was a kid (and as an adult)! This oil pastel painting of a secret garden in the moonlight was painted on Strathmore toned paper. I love painting calm scenes, because life is so hectic. I used mostly Mungyo Gallery oil pastels with a few colors from Artecho. Use what you have! 🙂
Do you love gardens? There is something so peaceful about wandering amongst the flowers, shrubs, and trees that clears the mind and lends itself to prayer. We live in such a hurried, stressful life. Walk in a garden today, or paint one into your life! 🙂
