I love old-fashioned beehives, and this one is done in a medieval style. I painted this with oil pastels in my square, black Dylusions art journal. I taped off the sides with washi and started building up the various sections. I also used my colored pencils to draw textural lines through the pastels. I have a VIDEO down below!
The paper in this journal is thick and smooth. It holds media very well! You can use acrylic, gouache, soft pastels, oil pastels, and more! I love the square shape, but I believe it comes in other sizes.
