Oil Pastel Potted Flowers Painting

Grab that art journal! I love using my oil pastels on Strathmore toned tan paper! I mostly used Paul Rubens and Artecho pastels this time, but most brands will be fine. I was inspired by a floral arrangement in a weathered container that I saw in a magazine.

I also have new fabric in a Spoonflower challenge. You can see that below! 🙂

Oil pastels are so creamy, vibrant, and textural. They are a great medium to integrate into you work, whether by themselves or in conjunction with watercolor, acrylic, gouache, or colored pencils. They are so versatile!
