Today’s painting is a fantastical queen from another realm! 🙂 I have a video at the bottom of the post, so be sure to check it out. I used Canson Graduate Mixed Media paper and taped the sides with washi tape for a clean-edge finish. I used the gold for her hair highlights and crown, as well as whimsical “splatters”. I mostly used Artecho oil pastels with some Paul Rubens to assist. Different brands hold my favorite colors, so it is hard to stick with just one set.
I used a Jane Davenport face stencil to start out. I’m having a a hard time sourcing them, but her book on faces is a great investment if you can’t find the stencils.
