I was in the mood for shells, as I was looking at my box of beautiful Sennelier iridescent oil pastels. They really are gorgeous! I sketched out the shell on Strathmore toned tan paper.
We were in Florida in December, and the kids found shells on the ocean beach. All their colors and striations are amazing to look at, and they feel so smooth from the constant water. We didn’t find any pearls, though. 🙂

I used my Prismacolor colored pencils to finish the drawing and layer in some color. I then added my oil pastels, topped with the beautiful Sennelier iridescent pastels! VIDEO BELOW!
