Every artist needs to paint the proverbial still life bowl of fruit. 🙂 It’s a right of passage. Seriously, it is a great way to practice color, shapes, and value. I’m using my favorite Strathmore toned tan paper journal and taped off the edges for a clean finish. I have a video at the bottom of the post, so be sure to check it out!
Nature has the best colors, textures, and shapes! I love organic things and never get tired at the miracle of creation. What is your favorite subject to paint? I mostly used Artecho oil pastels with a few Mungyo Gallery pastels. They are both great sets! I also love to use my colored pencils for details, like the fringe on the table linen shown in the picture.
