I love history, so this lady was fun to paint in a Tudor-ish style. I have a VIDEO at the bottom of the post! I used my charcoal pencil on Canson toned paper with washi-taped edges.
Oil pastels used:
I made the background creamy by blending with my finger. I love the textural element that oil pastels bring to a painting.


Build up layers! It may look like a five-year-old project at first, but as you add the layers out will pop the painting. 🙂


I used my Sennelier metallics for touches on her jewelry and clothes.
