Tombow Watercolor Apples & VIDEO Tutorial

Tombow brush pens are a great way to travel with watercolors! The dual-tip pens are great for larger lettering or painting, and the other finer tip lets you layer on fine details. Check out the VIDEO BELOW for the drawing tutorial of these apples. I also turned them into seamless patterns that can be purchased as fabric and wallpaper at Spoonflower and Raspberry Creek Fabrics. I love the modern colors and simple lines! ... View the Post

Spoonflower Warm Minimalism Challenge Entry

This Spoonflower challenge was, well, a challenge for me. The theme was "warm minimalism", which can go in a boring direction very quickly. I was a bit stumped, so I just started painting blobs on paper to see what would come of it. :) Does your brain freeze when you have to follow a specific guideline in art? My brain can, sadly. Any other day, I'm full of ideas. I don't know if the confines of the challenge shut off my creativity valve? Anyway, in the end I like what I made. I think, looking ... View the Post

I also created a seamless pattern that you can see below with a link to get the fabric or wallpaper. :) VIDEO BELOW! You can get this in various fabric and wallpaper HERE! ... View the Post

Inktense Pencils on Large Tea Bags

These muslin reusable tea bags are a fun canvas for painting. You can use these in junk journaling and tucking in small gifts for birthdays and holidays. They are 4 x 6 inches, making them a great size for many things. Since they are fabric, you need to use art supplies that will stay put. :) I chose to use Inktense pencils. Once activated and dry, they are permanent. Of course, you can use other Inktense products like the blocks, but you can paint with acrylic or gouache as well! In this ... View the Post
