This peaceful painting was done with a light watercolor base, then soft pastels. By using a few different brands, you can have varying hardness, giving different textures. I love boats and mountains! It reminds me of Tolkien’s elves sailing off to the Undying Lands.
I taped the edges of the watercolor paper onto a thick board to prevent buckling. Also, you get the nice white border around the painting.
