Peach & Blackberry Acrylic Marker Painting

I have recently been having fun with Arrtyx Acrylic markers. I love my Posca paint pens, but they can be very pricey! I still love my Posca white marker the best, but these are very close! They can be used as is for a bolder look, or blended with water (as I have done here) for a more painterly look. The brush tips are the right balance of sturdy and bendy. 🙂

I also used my Winsor and Newton Cotman Travel watercolor for the underpainting. This is a great little travel set!

In a similar way to watercolor, I added layer upon layer, ending with adding some details with colored pencils. The mixed media approach works for me, but you could add the details with the markers as well.

I created a surface pattern design which is available at Spoonflower.
