Peaches: Inktense Pencils Vs. Stabilo-All

I love to paint fruit! I painted the peach on the left with Derwent Inktense pencils, then I decided to pick up my Stabilo All pencil in black to paint the one on the right. I tried to make them as similar as possible. Both pencils are applied dry, then are activated with water. It was an interesting observation to see the value differences. Have you ever tried to paint something in color and then also in black and white? Try it! I’ll even let you count it for #Inktober. 🙂

Here is another peach painting (because painting fruit is fun!) done with Inktense pencils and a bit of gouache for the highlights.
