Well, we are undergoing our second stint this year without power, inspite of the weekly emails hailing the awesome infrastructure DTE has invested in (with our rate increases). Therefore, work and cooking is greatly limited. In the meantime, I enjoyed painting this mixed media piece a couple of months ago. It is a 16 x 20 inch canvas with an acrylic underpainting. Then I added layers and layers of soft pastels. I still feel like it isn’t finished, but sometimes you have to step back for a while to see what it needs. SHORT VIDEO HERE
