I really love how this painting came together! I started with watercolors for the stems and leaves, then switched to Portfolio and Ha Shi oil pastels for the rest. Because these oil pastels are water soluble, they are easy to blend as you are painting!
I collaged several of the flowers together, along with some of my painted birds, for a lovely motif that I used to create seamless patterns.
