Ticket-Shaped Watercolor Journal

I have a new watercolor journal in the shop. This one is a fun ticket shape (a die from Studio Light). I used paints and inks to create the cover. It's a great travel size, as well as a perfect size to pop into a large journal. YOUTUBE SHORT! ... View the Post

Once heated and melted, it became texture on texture! YOUTUBE SHORT OF THE CANVAS! Below, I heat embossed on faux leather for a journal cover. Here is an ... View the Post

Ink and Wash Art ~ Buildings

Ink and wash is a great style of art when you want to create without too much pressure. The loose style lends itself to imperfections. I start with a black pen, in a sketchy style. This gives the suggestion of objects and places, without drawing and connecting every line. Then, I create a watercolor wash in layers. You could leave it there, but I often reach for my colored pencils for a bit more definition and texture. This is a great method for art sketchbooks when traveling, when you don't ... View the Post
