Are They Bluebells?

I'm not great at flower names, sadly, but these remind me of a mix between what I think may be bluebells and snowdrops. I started with a watercolor painting and ink sketch. Then, I added colored pencils, more ink and some splatters. YOUTUBE SHORT OF THE PAINTING Here they are as a surface pattern for digital paper that I'm designing for my Etsy shop. We'll see. Fun! ... View the Post

Mixed Media Northern Cardinal

It's good to create everyday, even if it's only for ten minutes or so. I drew this Northern Cardinal, painted with watercolor, and then colored pencils. Finally, I added some line detail with a white and black Posca paint marker. Here is the YOUTUBE SHORT of the initial sketching part. ... View the Post

Spring Chicks & New Book

I pulled out my Jane Davenport Ink Pens for a quick painting exercise and made these funny little baby chicks. This one turned out to be a Sumo Chick. :) This was closer to what I wanted. Either way, just make blobs of color, let it dry, then go in with details. Fun and quick! Switching gears, I have a new Weekly Goals soft cover, 100 page, 6 x 9 inch book coming soon to Barnes & Noble. Each week has the two pages you see pictured to help you plan projects, social media ... View the Post
