Mixed Media Horse Head Painting

Until around 2016, I thought that I couldn't paint or draw. As a kid, I could only draw clothes, houses, and horse heads to the right. I am still learning and growing (and this horse head is certainly quite basic), but becoming a paid artist was a child's dream. I love my art journal, where I can try ideas without the pressure. Also, on this particular day, I think I was missing my horse who passed away a few years ago. I used Tombow brush markers, colored pencils, and my white Posca paint ... View the Post

I didn't video this process, sadly, but I did take pictures along the way. I love how he turned out! I love historical fashion, so naturally, Mr. Otter needed some clothes! :) I have the steps of the painting process in pictures below, as well as my art supplies of choice. I also added some shimmery gold here and there on his outfit and in the background. Here are the art supplies that I used: Watercolors by Kuretake and Derwent Inktense pencils. ... View the Post

Mungyo Watercolor Crayons & VIDEO

I love Mungyo oil pastels, so I was excited when I saw these affordable watercolor crayons. They are water soluble, so they can be used dry and wet, which makes them a great travel art supply. Mungyo watercolor crayons reminded me of my set of twelve crayons from Jane Davenport. Watch the VIDEO to see specifics while comparing the two products. I don't think that they are on the same level as Caran D'Ache or Lyra Aquarelle crayons, but I think that they are a good product without a huge ... View the Post

Temporary Issues

Sadly, my website started experiencing issues yesterday. I spent the whole day trying to resolve the issues with my site host. So far, it it is still moving slowly. I'm sorry, and I am working hard to resolve the issue. Thank you for your patience! If you need recipes, my site will still load. It will be slow, but eventually will open for you. Thanks and pray! :) ... View the Post

Soho Oil Pastels & VIDEO (The Creamiest?)

When I say that these are the creamiest oil pastels that I have used to date, I mean creamy like butter on a summer day. Amazing! Soho oil pastels are a joy to use, and work well with other brands! Even in their mega-creaminess, I was still able to layer, as you can see in this flower. I've used Canson watercolor paper here. Check out the video below! I also designed a surface pattern. I love this flower. :) Canva editable frames available in the shop! CLICK HERE ... View the Post
