Colored Pencils on Strathmore Toned Tan Paper

I saw a lovely old-fashioned photo in a magazine and thought the simple color palette would be perfect for my Prismacolor colored pencils in my Strathmore toned tan paper journal. The tan really makes the white colored pencil pop! I also tried a small piece of architecture. To be honest, colored pencils on this amazing paper is addicting. You don’t need a lot of colors to make an interesting drawing. Colored pencils are also perfect for travel!

Colored pencils were my first art supply love, and I love them still. They are versatile and textural, play well with other supplies, and are just basic color goodness! 🙂
