I love using flower arranging books for inspiration in my painting. It is amazing to see all the shaping, colors, and textures by combing different elements along with the flowers. I really like the book Flower Color Theory. It is very thick, full of many ideas that the author turns into color palettes. It is a great resource for artists!
I have a video down below of the painting that you see in the pictures. The color palette is calming, yet bold. It really was fun to paint! I used Mungyo Gallery oil pastels and toned paper from Strathmore.
