I wanted to paint an arrangement that featured a lot of greenery, so I grabbed my Strathmore toned blue journal and taped the edges with washi. I love the color palette of this as the lavender-ish hues set off the green well. Don’t be afraid to put flecks of color in unexpected places! I put some bright blue on the pot that holds these plants. Sometimes, those bits of color can really add pleasing effect.
I mostly used Mungyo Gallery oil pastels for this. They have an amazing set in a wooden box with fun colors! 🙂 I have a video at the bottom of this post if you would like to see the painting of it. I hope you try it out!

The toned blue paper was new for me. Have you ever tried it? I think it was a fun change, but I still prefer the tan.
