The thing that I love about impressionism is that sometimes you just want the idea of a thing. The texture and colors are the take away. Don’t get me wrong, I love amazing realistic paintings. Wow! I am not there yet as an artist, and I’m okay with that. I am enjoying the process. Today, I have used Canson Graduate toned paper and taped it off with washi. I am mostly using Mungyo Gallery (with an Artecho and Sennelier thrown in). I love the idea of gray leaves (gray and pink remind of the dear days gone by). I think the green background sets things off rather nicely.
I have a video at the bottom of the post! ☺️ Just enjoy the creaminess of oil pastels, and blend them until they look right to your eye.
