If you need a bit of cheering up, paint these flowers! I mostly used my Mungyo Gallery and Paul Rubens oil pastels on Canson Graduate toned paper. It looks a bit on the messy side, but I like the wildflower look that it conveys. There is something amazing about nature just doing what it is supposed to be doing. 🙂 I also love a bright yellow. It just brightens the whole painting and lifts it. Sometimes, it is difficult to find bright yellows that are also opaque. That is the beauty of oil pastels-they are rich and vibrant!

Someday, I need to paint a large oil pastel painting. I think my YouTube habits keep my paintings small, so I like to imagine what they would be like as wall painting size! 🙂
