The best cakes have zero calories! š I don’t paint food very much, but this fancy cake was in a magazine. It had cascading purple and gold botanicals on fluffy white frosting. I painted on Canson Graduate XL gray paper, which is smooth with just enough texture for the oil pastels to grab on to. I also used my Prismacolor colored pencils for some details, and Sennelier gold for some shimmering finishing touches.
