These are a great gift idea for the artist in your life! Sennelier Iridescent oil pastels are BEAUTIFUL! They also include a white and a black, which is always needed. The silver might just be my favorite. The flecks of shimmery goodness add a perfect finishing touch to your paintings. You could make the whole painting shimmery—I won't judge! Below, I've shown the colors on a piece of Strathmore toned tan paper, and there is a short VIDEO below! Look at those beauties in the box!! ... View the Post
Advent Calendar 2023 Cards Papercraft Society
Okay, I'm just a year behind! :) I love Papercraft Society monthly box kits. Having said that, last year's advent calendar did not impress me. I gave it a year rest and decided to make some cards. I just didn't have inspiration last year. Perhaps this year's offering is better? Comment if you grabbed the one from 2024! Anyway, I made some fun cards that would be great for kids! Use clear embossing ink through a ... View the Post
Oil Pastel Paintings!

Using colored pencils for the underpainting works well on paper that can't handle watercolor, like Strathmore's toned papers in grey and tan. In the first picture, I've even used Arteza's black drawing paper for a dramatic contrast to the opaque ... View the Post

They have a great assortment of colors available. These are great for journaling and card making as well! I love the color scheme of corals and blues! ... View the Post
Birds in a Basket: Oil Pastel on Black Paper
This Arteza black paper works really well with oil pastels! I love the contrast of the dramatic black with the opaque color of the pastels. These little birds are sitting on the flower basket having an aviary conversation. :) ... View the Post
