Oil Pastel Storybook Bunny Lady

My aim was to paint a cute bunny lady like you would see in a children's story. Admittedly, she transformed a little through the process. Now I'm not sure if she is a bunny, a goat, or a fox. :) Such is art. Nevertheless, she was fun to paint! I used oil pastels and colored pencils. Oil Pastel Floral Painting

Have you tried oil pastels? If you love color and texture in a stick, then pastels might be for you! I love impressionism, and oil pastels lend themselves well to that style of art. Watercolor Jellyfish from Blobs of Paint & Video

It's not an elegant title, but they sure were fun to make! In my watercolor journal, I used clean water on my brush and painted blobs. Then, I loaded my brush and dropped in a couple of colors from my Art Philosophy Currents palette. They naturally blended together and filled-in the watered areas. Then, I used my paintbrush to drag down the colors to create the tentacles. SHORT VIDEO HERE ... View the Post
