The Eileen Hull Sizzix Passport Journal is still one of my favorites. It's easy to assemble and a great size! I used Sizzix mat board to cut out the pieces, then covered them in a shimmery green-gold paint. Then, I used gouache and acrylic paint to paint the florals. I love how bright and cheerful it is for spring. It's best to paint before assembly. It only needs to be adhered to the spine. Use some strong glue or double-sided tape! The Amazing Stabilo Pencil & Video
A black Stabilo pencil (they do make them in other colors), is an inexpensive tool for drawings, or adding to mixed media canvas art and collage. It's like a powerful watercolor pencil! Mixed Media Blue Flower & Video
I drew this flower on watercolor paper. I used various inks, and layered the color with the wet-on-wet method. Once everything was dry, I drew over the design again with a waterproof black pen and Posca acrylic paint pens. These envelopes were fun to make and are available in the shop! They are cut from watercolor paper and painted with acrylic and Distress inks. They are easy to fold and assemble.
