I love loose, impressionistic florals that convey a softness and grace. I think flowers are (among other reasons) God’s gift to us. They are fragrant, colorful, soft, and have such a lovely variety of shapes. He said Himself that King Solomon was not even dressed as well as the flowers! I used mostly Mungyo Gallery oil pastels and added Sennelier gold for highlights at the end. I have a VIDEO at the bottom of the post!

I decided to add a light gray background that I think makes the colors pop!

Working on toned paper can help our brain deal with the scary white blank canvas effect!

I love how this one turned out! I hope that you grab your art supplies, watch the video, and try it! This would also work well with gouache, acrylic, and watercolor.
