Oil pastels are so much fun to use! I was inspired by a photo in a Daphne's Diary magazine of wildflowers in a vintage tin. I used Mungyo and Paul Rubens oil pastels on Strathmore toned paper. I also used colored pencils for some of the finer details and writing. They work well with oil pastels! I created a digital paper (below) with this painting, as well as some other oil pastel paintings. I love the color and texture! I have close to eighty oil pastel videos on my YouTube ... Oil Pastel & Inktense Mountain Landscape Painting

I have a variety of techniques in the pictures below, but the inky leaves are among my favorites. :) The Sizzix Leaf Fragments are so easy to use! Calligraphy inks and embossing folders are very easy ways to add ... View the Post
Honey Bee & Flowers Paintings
I often paint smaller subjects in my art journal, then create a digital seamless, surface pattern designs for my Etsy shop, as well as my sales tab here on my blog. These designs get used for fabric, paper, wallpaper, and many other creative endeavors. For the flowers, I used watercolor in a loose style. I love the wet-on-wet technique. You can't always control what the paint will do, but you can get unique results! My little bee was painted with acrylic markers and a shimmer pen from ... View the Post
