Oil Pastel White Flowers & VIDEO

White flowers can be hard, but using the Strathmore toned tan paper make this oil pastel painting pop! This is a very free style and puts the "wild" in wildflowers. :) I love these on their own, but they make great textural florals in digital pattern design. Check out the video and product links below! If you haven't tried oil pastels yet, you should. Their creamy texture is very fun to add to your paintings. ... View the Post

Pastel Painting of Sailboats

This peaceful painting was done with a light watercolor base, then soft pastels. By using a few different brands, you can have varying hardness, giving different textures. I love boats and mountains! Of course, we had eaten quinoa quite often, but I had never heard of quinoa being flakedlike other grains. We found the best deal was at Azure Standard. We have been ordering ever since! Besides desserts like the following deliciousness, my daughter makes "quinoameal" instead of oatmeal for her breakfast. She says it's delicious. The ... View the Post

Oil Pastel Florals in Orange & Yellow

Here is another original piece available in the shop. I enjoyed painting in Autumnal colors on this cotton paper with deckled edges and vintage-stained color. It can be hung as it is or framed behind glass. I used creamy oil pastels from Mungyo and Paul Ruben. Check out the design paper below! ... View the Post

Oil Pastel Orange Flowers

I love a good orange. It's a bold, happy color that can be for just about any season. These flowers are on Strathmore toned paper, using oil pastels in a rather sketchy way. I have a design paper pattern below. I love the vibrant color! ... View the Post
