I used Canson Graduate Mixed Media paper and taped the sides with washi tape for a clean-edge finish. I used the gold for her hair highlights and crown, as well as whimsical "splatters". Oil Pastel Mantel Clock & VIDEO
I'm painting in my Strathmore toned tan paper again! This floral mantel clock was inspired by a picture in a vintage magazine. I love the palette of colors and the addition of metallic details using Sennelier oil pastels. :) I used a charcoal pencil in addition to my colored pencils for some details. I LOVE the Lord of the Rings books and The Hobbit! When I was thinking of painting a treehouse in my Strathmore toned paper art journal, I got the idea to make it hobbitcore. :) I used my Prismacolor colored pencils and oil pastels . This was a fun painting of a floral fountain that I saw in a magazine. I was drawn to the whimsical colors and European feel. I used my toned tan art journal and sketched in charcoal.
