Acrylic Painting in My Sketchbook
This hardcover sketchbook is meant for dry media, but acrylic and gouache paint need little water to perform. Just in case, I did put a piece of thin cardboard behind the page while painting, just in case something should seep through. It did not. The paper is a lovely cream! So Many Flowers!
Here are a bunch of flowers and greenery I painted in acrylic as I was experimenting on Strathmore's Toned Tan paper. The colors really pop on the tan, and I love the little flecks of fibers that keep the background from feeling flat. Gouache would be another great option for this paper, as you don't need a lot of water. Then, put them all together in a cluster and make a pattern! This is our fourth order from Azure Standard. They really have great products! We are a family of sensitivies, so the great prices on organic products is a great help.
