Bird Illustration with Derwent Inktense Pencils & VIDEO
Derwent Inktense pencils are so bold in color and have such versatility, it makes them a wonderful art supply. The bold ink saturates the paper. You can use them dry, or choose to activate the color! Once activated and dry, the pigment won't move. That makes them perfect for layering! I drew this bird in my watercolor sketchbook, bearing in mind that I would be activating the color afterwards. I combined my Jane Davenport watercolors with my oil pastels! I love the bold, whimsical color! I have a VIDEO at the bottom of the post. Don't be afraid to use your supplies together. Oil Pastel Abstract Floral Painting
These smooshy, creamy florals are a great tactile way to use your oil pastels. I love the creaminess of Mungyo Gallery and Paul Rubens pastels. It is more about color and the idea of florals than realistic florals, but you can always make the flowers more distinct. Oil Pastel Church Landscape Painting & VIDEO
I love old architecture, so painting an old church is a joy! It is a proper church with stone, aging, a steeple, and bell tower. There is also a graveyard next to it. Why did we move away from this? Churches now are built to look like ambiguous offices, no graves-just depressing modern nothingness. Oil Pastel Florals in Vase in Room: Mungyo & Paul Rubens
Flowers will be my forever nature love! There are so many varieties and colors! I painted this cheery bouquet on Canson mixed media paper. I love the creamy color that sets off the colors well.
