I grew up with Morgan horses and they are the best animals! They are beautiful, strong, graceful, practical, and loyal. Horses are one of my favorite animals in the Lord's creation. In light of Christmas, we watched The Nativity Story movie, which focuses on Mary and Joseph's journey to Bethlehem and the great faith that they showed in trusting God. This desert painting reminds men of those that traversed afar during the Lord's first couple of years to visit him and give rich gifts to such a great King! Oil Pastel Gazebo Landscape Painting & VIDEO
Using my Strathmore toned tan art journal, I painted a pastel colored gazebo landscape. It is a light palette with fun colors! There is a video at the bottom of the post. Oil Pastel Pressed Flower Necklace Painting
I love jewelry, so I think it's a great art prompt for painting. :) I used my Strathmore toned paper art journal and mostly Artecho oil pastels. I did use my lovely Sennelier bronze for the metal details. I wanted the pendant to be clear with pressed flowers. It was a fun and quick painting. I have a short video below. I love history! There are so many stories in the lives and events before us. Shipwrecks are one of those interesting (though tragic) events that we can learn from.
